Company history

The family business was founded on July 16, 1973 under the name VIF, derived from the initials of the previous owners: Vaskuthy, Istvan and France. VIF started out manufacturing molds in a 1,800 sq. ft. space. Gradually, the management saw the need to carry out their own mold trials and to offer injection molding services. In 1980, VIF moves to new premises and acquires 4 injection molding machines.

Three years later, strong expansion in the molding sector forces the injection department to move to larger premises. Four new injection presses were added to the existing machines. In 1986, the mold shop and injection molding department were brought together in a 52,000 sq. ft. building on Cartier Street.

Constantly evolving

In 1999, always keen to meet and exceed its customers' expectations and requirements, the company registered to the standard. Three years later, it has 15 injection molding machines, including 3 robotized cells, and modern mold design and manufacturing facilities.

In 2008, CARVIN pool equipment was born, owned by Thierry Carrière. Carvin is now our house brand for all our pool products. Several development projects are underway for CARVIN.

In 2012, 40,000 ft² are added to the factory, for a total of 120,000 ft². Three years later, Armotec is acquired, marking the company's debut in the office furniture and products sector.

In 2022, we will have 36 injection molding machines, 1 extrusion blow molding machine and 3 thermoforming machines, enabling us to produce a wide variety of products. Our presses have capacities ranging from 40 to 2,400 tonnes. Some twenty robotized cells enable us to carry out complex overmolding, cutting, gluing, inspection and assembly operations. These have also enabled us to reduce our OHS risks and cut down on load handling by our employees. A 65,000 sq. ft. expansion was completed in 2022, along with the addition of new robotic cells.
