History

Considered one of the few turnkey solutions supplies to the plastic industry since 1973, VIF Mould and Plastics – a thriving ISO9001:2000 certified company – designs, engineers, tests, re-engineers and manufactures moulds and components on demand.

1973:
In the modest space of 1800 sq ft, VIF begins machining injection molds. Gradually, the need for on-site testing becomes a necessity.

1980:
VIF moves to a larger location and acquires four injection presses.

1983:
The rapid development of mold-making services forces the injection activity into separate facilities. Four more presses are added to the park.

1986:
The mold service and processing departments are reunited under one 52,000 sq.ft. location.

1999:
Our constant desire to meet and surpass our clients' requirements leads to VIF's certification to ISO 9001.

2002:
VIF upgrades to ISO 9001:2000 certification. With 15 injection presses, 3 robotics cells, and state-of-the-art installations for design-engineering and moldmaking, we don't just accept difficult technical challenges: WE LOOK FOR THEM ! Our expertise is currently focused on overlay molding (plastic on plastic, and plastic on metal), and robotics / automation. As well, we process the entire range of engineered polymers, including filled resins.

2005
VIF designs a state-of-the-art facility for their operation and relocates all operations to the new 80,000 sq.ft. building, with 21 injection presses, robotics cells, cutting edge design engineering and mouldmaking, as well as the processing of the entire range of engineered polymers, including filled resins.

2006
VIF changes ownership, acquired by Thierry Carrière. Mr. Carrière has the same personal commitment to innovative excellence that has been VIF's hallmark over the years. His experience in the field of manufacturing and sales development complements the existing infrastructure.

2007
VIF adds to their injection capabilities with the purchase of a 1760T machine.

2009
VIF expands their capability by purchasing three SG160R High Density Line Shortening robots, which boast an impressive 160kg payload, double level installation and unique movement for superlative precision and repeatability during secondary operations such as spot welding, material handling, machine loading/unloading.
